Does alcohol make you act like your on drugs?

In short about 2 weeks ago I got home completely shitfaced and my family was watching maze runner, so I questioned them on why they were automatically on the maze runners side. And because I was feeling more expressive and talkative I was using more overreacting body language and talking a bit more loudly. And my family started to get a bit worried. Then I threw up multiple times that night (mostly liquid) and my mom got extremely worried that I had took drugs. Which I told her no. Went on a walk with them and chilled out after talking with them and calming down. A week later my mom had a talk with me and told me “no more drinking…it looked like you were on drugs”. In short is how the whole conversation went including other stories. But from my perspective I didn’t feel any different than drunk and wanting to question their ideology and what they believed.
