Shortness of Breath after drinking?

Strangely enough, it feels like I get shortness of breath and a tight throat feeling after I drink. Never had this problem ever before. I can’t tell if I’m just freaking myself out before I drink but nothing seems to fix it. Are these dangerous symptoms? Can I keep drinking and try and ignore them?
