Immediate panic attack after a drink
For context, I do have anxiety issues on a normal basis, though panic attacks are pretty rare for me (only had 2 prior). And today was a very shit day. I made a drink with two shots of vodka, pineapple juice, Sprite, and some tajin & lime. It was delicious, I drank it fairly quickly. I started feeling some discomfort in my chest and shoulders not long after that. I feel this sometimes when I start drinking, this discomfort especially in my shoulders. But it kept building, chest kept getting tighter, started getting harder to breathe. Then the panic started. I knew it was a panic attack but those thoughts still circle around in my brain of whether this is a reaction to something, too much salt or I drank too fast and my heart is failing. After about 20 minutes and finding a helpful video on YouTube I was able to calm down and the feeling disappated. I didn’t even get to feel the buzzed/relaxed feeling I was looking for because I was so keyed up :/ Does anyone else have this happen? I’ve heard of anxiety after a night of drinking, but what about immediate feelings? This same thing happens sometimes when I smoke weed. If I’m not in a good headspace to start, shit goes bad quick. It sucks. Guess I need to get some shit straightened out mentally before trying any relaxing substances… Dammit
