How bad does your memory get when you drink?

My normal memory is really bad, so subsequently my drunk memor is worse. The amount I remember while slightly drunk is what many remember pretty drunk, for example. I recall reading that it’s not that you can’t access the memories you had while drunk, it’s that they don’t form while drunk. Wonder how that works
