Lorazepam and alcohol?

Wasn’t sure where to post this but long story short, I struggle with anxiety and my partner’s having a party tomorrow for his birthday (only a couple family and friends coming round) and I don’t know how I’m going to feel.

I won’t be drinking a lot (will likely be 2-3 glasses of vodka oj at most), mainly because I don’t want to be hungover the next day since it’s his actual birthday. Even 2-3 drinks I’ll be risking a hangover.

I also might not drink at all.

Without taking my lorazepam, I don’t know that I’ll be able to be around these people, but I also don’t want to not have the option of drinking if I want to.

Alcohol can either help or worsen my anxiety and I don’t know which it’s going to be tomorrow.

People are coming at 7 so I’d take the lorazepam at 6. Would I be able to start drinking after a certain amount of time? Would I be okay regardless as long as I only have a couple of drinks?

I just don’t want to spend it stuck upstairs instead of celebrating with my partner. He’s very understanding but I still feel bad.

I also don’t take this medication everyday. Just when I believe that my anxiety may get bad and I need the extra help so it’s not permanently in my system.
