I’m about to turn 21, what should I buy for my first drink?

My birthday is on a Thursday and due to schooling/work I’m not celebrating with anyone until the weekend, so my birthday will be just me, myself, and I. But I’d still like to have my first drink on my birthday. I’ve had alcohol in the past, but my experience is limited. I’m too shy to go to a restaurant to dine by myself and order a fancy drink there, I was just thinking about buying something at a store and enjoying it while watching a show I’ve been meaning to catch up on. What would you recommend? Should I be simple and go with a pack of whiteclaws or a bottle of wine, or do you recommend liquor/ingredients for a mixed drink I could make? Thanks so much!
