Alcohol leads to spirituality. It’s a pattern.

This obviously doesn’t apply to everyone. But so many drunkards throughout history have eventually turned to religion. Even I, who used to loathe religion and proudly proclaimed myself an atheist, has come to have spiritual experiences after heavy alcohol abuse. Now I regularly praise and quote Jesus Christ, at least as a thinker even if I don’t buy the resurrection thing.

This phenomenon has been noted throughout history!

I laugh in the face of people who think alcohol “stunts” your spiritual awareness or whatever the fuck. It does the opposite. Even if you’re the most anti-religious and anti-paranormal person in the world, you’ll discover an extreme fascination and obsession with both through nothing but alcohol.
