My friend can’t get drunk

Last night me nd my friend went into a bar he took 6 shots of arek and 10 shots of vodka we smoked weed before and after we went to the bar and my friend was fine and was never drunk the whole night. He told me Its because I didnt drink with him thats why, is that true?
