If I drink again after withdrawal will I go through it all again?

Hey all. Not looking for medical advice, just personal experiences. It’s been 8 days without alcohol for me and I had a pretty yucky withdrawal that required hospitalization and some benzos that I only used for a day. If I drink tonight am I putting myself back at risk for doing all of that withdrawal again? I want to get back into drinking but with much more moderation and consideration. Thanks.
