How do I make my Irish coffe stay warm?

Yeah, I know there are lots of recipes out there but I don’t want one. I just need a few tips and ideas from you guys.

Because I have noticed that when my coffee drink is mixed and done it’s always luke warm. And for obvious reasons of course, because not only is the whisky room temperature, but the whiped cream is cold as well which drastically reduces the temperature of the brewed coffee.

So, how do I make sure my coffee stays warm? Should I warm the whisky/whipcream on the stove first before mixing the drink? Should I warm the drink itself in the microwave when it’s done to get it up to temperature?

I’m open for ideas.
