How do I know if I have alcohol poisoning or just a terrible hangover?
Hello, I drank a bottle of vodka last night (after binge drinking all week) fell asleep for 5-6 hours and woke up this morning feeling terrible. My body temperature is fine, but I have clammy skin, terrible mental confusion, and extreme nausea and dizziness. I also have abdominal pain and tingling / prickly sensations in my hands.
I haven’t been vomiting although it feels like I’ve been on the verge of it for the past 12 hours. Food is tasteless. I’ll also start eating something and then stop chewing randomly because I “forget” to continue to chew. So it’s like eating has to be done consciously. I think the amnesia and cognitive impairment is the worst part but it’s clearly not bad enough for me to not be able to write this post.
I know I’m a retard and I threw out all of the remaining alcohol I had left because this has been an eye-opening experience, and I really don’t want to drink anymore. But how do I know if I have alcohol poisoning or whether I should be worried about my current symptoms? Should I just sleep it off or should I actually consider going to the ER, even though I have no alcohol in my blood right now?
Thank you in advance for any help/advice.
