Tripadvisor Reveals 2022 Travelers’ Choice Restaurant Awards

Travel guidance platform Tripadvisor has announced the 2022 Best of the Best Restaurants, part of its community-powered Travelers’ Choice Awards series. Tripadvisor’s top-rated spots, which this year spanned six continents and 51 countries, are categorized by Fine Dining, Everyday Eats, Quick Bites, Date Night Restaurants, Hidden Gems, and Picture-Perfect Restaurants.

The #1 Fine Dining Restaurant in the world for 2022 is The Old Stamp House Restaurant in Ambleside, U.K., which takes the top spot for the second consecutive year. The best Fine Dining Restaurant in the U.S., according to Tripadvisor traveler reviews, is Lahaina Grill in Lahaina, HI; it’s also #19 in the world.

The top Date Night Restaurant in the U.S. (and #11 in the world) is The Restaurant at Gideon Ridge in Blowing Rock, NC; leading the Hidden Gems in the U.S. is Joe’s At The Jepson in Savannah, GA. Number one in Best of the Best Quick Bites in the U.S. is New York City’s Bleecker Street Pizza.

The 2022 Best of the Best Restaurants are calculated based on the quality and quantity of reviews and ratings for restaurants on Tripadvisor collected from July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022, specific to each award subcategory, as well as an additional editorial process. Tripadvisor kicked off the release of the 2022 winners with a dinner on Sept. 26 at The Consulate in New York, which made the list of top Everyday Eats in the U.S. To see all the winners, including the best in the world, head to Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Awards.
