Craft Spirits By State?

I’m in the US and have the goal of getting at least one bottle of a craft spirit originating from each state. Ideally, each spirit would be somewhat iconic within the state, apart from being solid quality, without breaking the bank (bottles in the $50-$100 range).

Specific type of liquor is not as important as the overall quality (a reasomably balanced mix of gins, vodkas, bourbons, etc is a secondary goal). I’ve found this directory of recommended distilleries, which seems like a good starting point:

I’m definitely a novice, so could anyone point me to other/better resources for this goal of mine, whether books or websites?

What craft spirit do you find fantastic, that a bartender might call the best kept secret of that state?
