Stopping after one drink.

I would like to start this post by saying, in general, I don’t have a problem when it comes to drinking alcohol. I rarely drink, and when I do, it’s typically wine. My problem lays with my brain when it is intoxicated. When I am sober, my rule of thumb is only one glass of wine, or one drink when I’m out. However, once I am even buzzed, my brain instantly wants more. Basically, even though I don’t drink often, when I do, I almost always get drunk, even if that is not my intention when I am sober. Does anyone have any advice for how to fight the urge to continue drinking once intoxicated? I would love to be that person who can stop at one glass of wine, but currently, that seems to be an arduous task.
