Okay some background: so I (f) have like a stupid high tolerance for alcohol, I don’t drink often and I never have (like once a month, maybe twice at most but highly unlikely) and yet every time I do drink it takes me like ten shots to get more than tipsy. (For reference Im 5’2 and weigh 155 pounds) The three times I had the most fun drinking I had to drink between 14-19 shots, it’s weird and honestly frustrating when everyone else is already wasted on their third shot and I’m completely sober on my sixth. Also I do still get nauseous if I drink too quickly, so I have to eat first and not drink more than five shots an hour ish which means it takes me forever to get drunk, I also really really hate the taste of any alcohol which is frustrating. Another thing, often when I drink I just get tired, I know that a lot of people do and I understand why, but for me it isn’t really related to how drunk I am or how much I drank, I could drink five shots and have less energy than I had when I drank twelve. And last but not least I figured the only solution is to be around people I like and not drink when sad or stressed but sometimes when I drink I get rly depressed so if anyone has any advice on that it’d be greatly appreciated.
I don’t want all the responses to just tell me not to drink, I’ve genuinely had some rly fun and great times when drinking, I’ve met and gotten closer to people through alcohol and it can feel super euphoric to me at times, I’m just looking for advice on these things so pls don’t just tell me to drop the idea lol.
Basically to summarize my problems are: Take too long to get drunk (and my goal usually w alcohol is to get wasted) Hate the taste of alcohol (if u have recipes or like good chasers that get rid of the taste pls send me some ideas) Occasionally get sleepy and just give up on drinking cuz I’m tired Occasionally get depressed when drinking
If u have any advice for me at all I would super appreciate it, it’s my birthday soon and I rly wanna get drunk w my friends and have a good time.
Advice can range from good cocktail ideas, to activities that give you energy when ur drunk, to tips on getting drunk quickly without getting sick.. etc…
