Drinking alone does not mean you’re an alcoholic
I hear a lot of people saying drinking is a social lubricant so if you drunk alone you must be an alcoholic. Where in the fuck is the logic in this? First of all, drinking affects different people differently and not everyone likes to be around other people when they’re drunk. Also it’s not where or when you drink. It’s how much. If you’re addicted to alcohol you’ll know it. You’ll wake up shaking and craving it. You’ll feel depressed most of the time, and your life will slowly start getting worse. THATS and alcoholic. If you drink in the morning and you don’t have work, fine. If you have work then that’s stupid and illegal, but still doesn’t constitute alcoholism unless you do it because you feel the need and so on. Ive even drank AT work a couple times just for shits and giggles. Does that mean I’m an alcoholic? Of course not. Again it’s not when or where. It’s how often. Be smart, be safe, be responsible. Even if you’re not an alcoholic, if it’s causing problems in your life because of when or where you’re choosing to drink, you need to make a change. Alcohol can be a very destructive drug if you let it. But all you people who say things like “if you drink by yourself, you must be an alcoholic.” “If you drink in the morning, you must be an alcoholic.” Shut the fuck up and look up the definition of an addict.
