After opening a bottle, does the time it takes for the alcohol to go had depend on the alcohol percentage?

When properly stored of course. Recently went to Japan and bought sake, and it has 39 alcohol percentage. I’m pretty sure it still has sugar in it. Would the bottle still turn bad after 1-2 weeks after opening?
