No alcohol for a year

I am going to attempt not having any alcohol for a full year (Christmas to Christmas). There’s no medical need for it, nor do I consider myself an alcoholic, though I’m sure certain legal definitions would.

I love drinking. Trying different beers and whiskeys, and learning new mix drinks is a fun hobby of mine. But today also marks 1 year exactly that I haven’t smoked cigarettes or vaped. It was totally incidental, but after I had left my vape at home while traveling, 2 weeks later I came home and tossed my vape. My life has improved in almost every way since. And as I reflect on that I want to see if no alcohol for a year (or as long as I can hold out) has a similar effect.

This has new year’s resolution vibes written all over it, so maybe its doomed to fail lol. But I’m already excited for drinking something special next Christmas to commemorate!
