Beginner advice needed!

Hello, I’m a teenager who wants to start learning about alcohol and how to do bartending. I wanted to start doing bartending as a hobby and to sell to my parents and their friends. My parents said they’d be willing to buy the stuff for me as long as I had a list and paid them back. Problem is I know next to nothing about alcohol or bartendering! I’ve spent some time looking online but still wasn’t sure what to put on my list to buy since I have no idea what the essentials are. My mum said to just buy the things that are used in the most popular drinks but since I have zero experience with alcohol I have no idea what that would be.

I would really appreciate some advice on what equipment and ingredients to buy for a beginner. I’d probably like to buy alcohol thats affordable but still decent quality, thank you!
