Side effect of drinking alcohol?

I never drank in my life but for past 7 months I have been drinking every other weekend on average (I am 28 yo btw) and I do drink enough to get drunk and then stop when I feel like I might get sick. I drink seltzers, mixed drinks and like green tea shots, lemon drop etc.
The last couple months, 3 times out of 4 I have this weird feeling of something stuck in my throat when I start drinking, and then the last couple times it also felt like my tongue was sore with little cuts on it (the feeling was that of cuts but I don’t know if it was truly that)
My throat starts getting better the next day and my tongue is sore for a couple days after. I don’t know if this is an allergic reaction or what. I read on Google it said could be GERD but it happens even if I don’t eat much beforehand or eat healthy etc.
I have my annual physical coming up but my primary care usually doesn’t know much so maybe I should get ENT’s referral. Anyone else had something like this? What did you do?
