Hormonal effects from Alcohol use

I just recently learned that alcohol use suppresses your livers ability to regulate estrogen.

Kind of surprised no one ever told me that one when they talked about the negative implications of habitual drinking.

Is the concern valid? Or overblown for younger men?

Also, I feel like most depictions of alcoholics have them all angry and puffed up all the time, but this side effect would indicate they have low T.

Curious if anyone else has thoughts on this less talked about side effect.
