Why are people concered if you drink alone in youe room?

A lot of people I talk to say that it leads to dependecy and I get it but people smoke pot alone in their room all the time what is the difference? The danger? It’s my drug of choice. Any schizos in this community? I feel like people jist like to make up shit.
