What should my first bottle of alcohol be?

Hi! I’m 19 years old and I want to try alcohol for the first time in my life. I have absolutely no idea of what alcohol tastes like and I don’t know the good brands either, so I’d appreciate recommendations (something not too expensive and that’s usually considered good by the majority of people, if possible)

Also are there things I should know before drinking?
