Where do I start with wine?

I’ve always been more of a cocktail person. If I’m drinking it’s usually something a little sweeter, easier to enjoy and I never paid much attention to wine. Lately though I’ve realized I know basically nothing about it. Part of the reason is that I’ve started going on more dates and wine seems to come up all the time. My date will order a bottle or ask what kind of wine I like and I have absolutely no idea what to say beyond whatever tastes good. I don’t have any interest in becoming a wine expert. I just want to find a few wines I enjoy, preferably on the sweeter side and learn enough to feel comfortable ordering them. The problem is I have no clue where to start.
