Is transporting liquor over state lines illegal?

Currently getting very into unique rums and gins, but I presently live in Ohio and the liquor stock here is hardly great. I was considering running into ann arbor Michigan to Total Wine to stock up on some bottles I’ve been looking for, but it would be a very large order, and I’m worried about the legal troubles of that.

If anyone has any suggestions or alternatives I’m all ears. I believe Ohio is still limited in online liquor shipping, but I’ve heard rumors there are exceptions so I’m not sure.
