Review: 2024 Booker Wines Harvey & Harriet White Blend

We’ve been covering Paso Robles-based Harvey & Harriet‘s red wine blends for a few years, but somehow the white blend from this Booker Wines label has eluded us.

Blended from an exotic mix of Chardonnay, Albariño, Viognier, and Pinot Grigio, it’s a wine that promises all kinds of action. Let’s see how well it delivers.

Boldly floral, the Viognier does most of the heavy lifting with this honeysuckle-laced offering, featuring overtones of peach and apricot, then orange blossoms. Vanilla is present but elusive and understated, indicating a light-handed approach to oak, while salinity on the finish evokes the Albarino in the mix. Soothing and complex, this wine does jump around quite a bit as it hits on notes of apple, lemon, and eventually steely minerals, though it eventually comes fully into its own. Versatile and far more complex than I expected, it comes up with its own peculiar sense of balance, one which belies its impressive price point.

A- / $22
