Genuinely curious— why do you like alcohol?

I have a very sweet tooth and struggle with anything that tastes bitter or medicine-y (most alcohol tastes this way to me. Even the ones I enjoyed the first time I’ve had them). So, I was wondering what y’all enjoyed about the flavor of the alcohol you’re consuming.

I know being drunk feels nice. Don’t give me that foolishness.

Also, if there are any recommendations for drinks/recipes you think I would enjoy (things you might have thought we’re too sweet— DO NOT BRING UP LONG ISLANDS. My southern ass drinks my tea with diabetes in it. Those shirts are NOT sweet), I would genuinely appreciate it.

I know I’m picky. I’ve always been picky. Unfortunately, from my perspective, I have very simple standards. Sweet. Hozier levels Too Sweet, even.
