Never vomiting when drunk?
Last night I went out with friends and lets just say I had maybe 7+ shots (I have no idea how many to be honest) in an hour span, probably more because at some point a friend decided to pour svedka in my mouth straight from the handle.
I got blackout and I don’t remember anything past the hour I was actively drinking, yet somehow I didn’t throw up or even feel nauseated. I realized I have NEVER thrown up when drinking or hungover regardless of how much I drink. Not a single time. I don’t drink often, maybe once or twice a month, so it definitely isn’t tolerance related.
I find it quite odd because I have a lot of issues with nausea and vomiting in my day-to-day life and am even perscribed zofran to take as needed, but for some reason drinking doesn’t exacerbate the issue at all and actually completely eliminates it as long as I am drunk.
In hindsight, I really wish I had thrown up last night, because I was dangerously drunk, and not having it as a defense mechanism is alarming. I haven’t ever met anyone who experiences the same thing. Does anyone else not throw up when drinking and/or know why this could happen? Could it be genetic?
