I just turned 21- what drinks can I order at most places?

I just turned 21 a few days ago. I mostly only drink rum- specifically Captain or Malibu (I really like only spiced and coconut rum, don’t recommend me other things bc I’m incredibly picky).

If I go out to eat to let’s say, Applebees, can I order something like a Captain and Coke? I don’t really know what they can make at the bar and I don’t wanna be that dumb freshly 21 kid asking for whatever. I know they have a specialty drink menu, but I never know what other drinks they might have that are more common/not “specialty”.

Specialty drinks are expensive and if I want to get something but don’t want to spend money on the high chance I won’t enjoy it, can I get something basic like a malibu and coke?

No judgement towards my taste or preferred brands lol, I do like other rums that are similar but this is what I believe to be most across the board.
