After not drinking for about a month, I drank two bottles of wine alone last night
I didn’t get sick last night or this morning. I’ve been feeling fine physically. But I blacked out last night. I just… let it get out of hand. I had a friend over who had his own liquor so I was just refilling glass after glass of the wine.
Worried about what effects this will have on my liver or anything else. I know two bottles alone in a night is crazy. It was across a span of about 10 hours. I drank water and ate throughout and had a big meal before going to sleep. I never drove, I was home the whole time.
I know it’s stupid. Has anyone else done something like this? I guess I’m just looking for confirmation to feel less alone, not to justify it, I don’t want to do that again, just someone to say “hey you’re not the only dumbass that’s drank too much some time.”
Not looking for “you need help” or “go get treatment.” I usually have a handle on it when I do drink and usually go a while without drinking anyway. I’m in therapy for mental health stuff and coping strategies. Had a 3 month run of drinking a little too much every night a while back but I was able to stop. I just got a little craving last night and went overboard. Health concerns scare me.
