Is 94db a crazy level for speakers to be playing pop music at a bar?

FYI I’m very new to bars this was my second time ever at a bar so I’m sorry if this is normal for bars I’m just very curious…

I was just at a Johnnys Tavern and they were BLASTING the music, there was no live performance or karaoke it was just a radio station or something. The thing is people weren’t even talking that loud and even though it was kinda busy everyone was being really calm and not yelling. I’m not complaining either I just think this was actually the loudest music I’ve ever heard being played at a restraunt/bar establishment 😂
