Friend that didnt want an unopened bottle of wine in her home weird?

Hi so I befriended a lady march of this year, and we have hung out a few times , I’ve even been to her apt. So anyway I live in a shelter which she knows about. I work as a caregiver and my patients family gifted me money and a bottle of red wine . So since you cant have alcohol in the facility , I asked my friend who lives 10 minutes from my shelter on bus if she could hold it for me and then once I get my apartment I will take it. Her reply was ” No, I dont want Alcohol in my home” I thought it was weird since it won’t be opened just hold it for me . Should I stop speaking to her over this ? Small but I know if it were me I would say tes in a heartbeat so it makes me wonder if shes really a friend
