Why does AI say you should not drive the next day after 2-3 drinks

With this logic I have been drunk driving for the past 6 years in the morning on my way to the park to run. Maybe I have a paranoia. I hope I do. AI says you are unsafe to drive the next day if you had 2-3 glasses the night before. So if someone has 2-3 glasses and goes to bed at 11, drives at 7, that is 8 hours since the last drink and probably 9 hours since the first drink. I thought it was body clears one drink per hour or 1 drink per 2 hours to be safe.
