Kidneys hurting

Hi, I’ve been drinking daily for about 3 months, I’m 22m uni student. I’m currently in the process of cutting down and stopping for awhile. However i find 50% of the time when I’m drinking (even if it’s 2 units etc) my lower back hurts on my both sides.

Im convinced this is my kidneys, it’s happened in the past but not this frequently (I guess it’s because I’m doing it more often).

Im wondering if anyone’s experienced this and if it’s something to worry about.

My doctor is closed for December but I’m planning on asking them too (does anyone know any checks I’ll need to ask for?)

Google says I’m gonna die and need to go hospital but I know that’s not always accurate, as this pain has happened before.

It’s like a dull ache, feels muscular but isn’t.
