Can I use Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur to make homemade cherry cordial chocolates?

I bought it thinking it was good to use because it was in the brandy/cognac section. If I use it as alcohol to soak the cherries in would I still be able to use it? Do I just need to go buy the right stuff?
