Alcohol 24 hours after Xanax

Repost since I got the timing wrong: I (26F) took 0.5 mg xanax for the first time and then ~20 hours later (the next night) was drinking very heavily and browning out (memory has various times of blacking out but remember bits and pieces). I turned very mean/aggressive and wanted to know if that was just me being shitfaced or maybe a bad reaction to the xanax? I read online mixing the 2 can cause aggression but I didn’t think it would be in my system still.
