Drinking when having a cold

My family always drinks on thanksgiving, heavily that is. By the end of the night almost everyone is drunk and we play games and such. I woke up on Sunday with a pretty bad cold and it has been getting progressively better but just by a little each day. Do you think my cold will get worse if I do drink tomorrow? I also want to be able to drink on Saturday for a football game I’m watching. Not sure what to do. Let me know your thoughts!!
