Drank for the first time and didnt feel much

Last Saturday i drank for the first time and all i felt was a light buzz. I had 5 cans of budweiser and 3 shots of smirnoff. Is this not enough? I was hoping to be drunk after 1 or 2 beers as my tolerance is 0 did i do something wrong?
