Hangover Vodka vs Beer

I was reading that clear drinks can help you not be so brutal with a hangover (Gin, Vodka) That wines can be worse. Beer too. My worst hangovers were from cognac, but also, I drank half a liter at a time (cheap cognac) Cheap wine, which must be pure sugar, also ruined me.

But the vodka I drank (cheap) was the one that gave me the least hangover, despite everything (?).

There’s the issue of: you’re going to have a hangover anyway, drink what you like.

Which drinks did you realize was a worse choice for the next day? And are cheap drinks always going to be horrible?
