Family Vacation

Need help. We are traveling on a family vacation with my mother in law who is a hound dog and can smell alcohol a mile away. When I travel (which is a lot for work) I can’t sleep in a strange bed without one or two drinks, don’t need anymore. But she would still be able to smell that. Are there options so I can have just a couple drinks or should I just resort to Benadryl? I obviously prefer a couple drinks over Benadryl.
