When I get super drunk from wine my right ear hurts the entire next day, am I getting ear infections when I drink or just a weird reaction to the wine?

As the title says, and pain relievers don’t help. Oddly smoking a cigarette and/or consuming tumeric helps a little bit, but I can’t figure it out and it never seems serious enough to go to the doctor about.
