4 Drinks a Day?
So i’ll preface this by saying I am not asking for medical advice, I just sort of need maybe some reassurance from others on “amounts”.
So here in the past year I’ve seen my drinks per day slowly rise to about 4. I ended up being able to polish off a fifth of bourbon (750ml) in 4-5 days. Mainly due to stress/other things.
However I got super freaked out this past weekend thinking I am going to have like liver failure or cirrhosis/irreversible damage.
I’ve always generally drank, but before it was 2-3 max a day it’s just slowly increased. I had blood work done back in April and everything was perfect (Liver panels/etc…) but I just recently got my blood drawn (today) just to make sure I am ok.
I guess, has anyone drank a similar amount and been ok? For reference I am cutting back and have only had 1-2 drinks a night the past few nights. I guess I am hoping that I didn’t fuck up my liver too bad. But I figure even 4 drinks a day not being great if my labs were good back in April I should be ok.
Seems like it would take a long time (10+ years) to start getting irreversible damage based on my research. I guess I just need some reassurance? Seems like i’ve seen people drink WAY more and be “ok” (not that I am striving for that).
And for reference it is literally 4 “standard” drinks because I only really drink bourbon and can measure drinks out in 1.5oz shot glass (although I usually just mix it with coke).
