What are your thoughts on corn mash liquor?

As a Canadian, I have never been able to stand corn-based liquor at all. I’ll take my Alberta Premium over Jack Daniels any day. Rye whiskey all the way baby!

But seriously, I’m sure everyone that has tried rye vs bourbon will know what I’m talking about. Corn liquors always have a bit of a specific taste to them, which isn’t always pleasant. Sort of like a more bitter version of corn syrup.

I know corn is kinda the default for American spirits, so I’m wondering how do people outside the USA feel about corn-based liquor?
