Guide for alcohol when eating out?

Well, here’s some stuff about me so you know what I might like/want.

I dont like getting drunk, high, ect ect, but I remember one time I had like green wine or something and I liked how it tasted, so I like to try some more stuff, but remember I don’t like hard stuff that will make me drunk.

The reason why I’m asking is cause I’m kinda shy and whenever I’m at a restaurant I trip up trying to ask the server about what wine or something to recommend, so I just end up saying whatever and ordering something else.
