What made you stop drinking? I’ll start :)

I’m not an Alcoholic but my dad was one. He was forced to stop after pushing a 300kg table into my stomach while on a drunken rampage if I hadn’t had a small adrenaline rush at the moment (only lasted till I realized I was no match pushing this 300kg table due to me being 49kg) I was ready to accept being cut in half. All the while my mother was watching and after I screamed stop she stepped in. After he stopped he stormed off my mum got right in my face and yelled “your turning us into monsters” all of this was because I couldn’t do dishes due to severe period cramps. He’s been soba for about 4 months but I’m still scared to be around him due to his high temper.
