Which is worse a beer or a shot?

Found out I have fatty liver disease… Is it the amount of alcoholic liquid or is it the percent of alcohol? Like is it worse to drink a can of bees with that much alcoholic liquid being filtered or is it better if I just drink one sip of a shot? Or does it not make a difference?
