Anyone have any good recommendations for relatively decent stuff I could get a liquor store?

For context, I’m a poor ass college student in Winnipeg looking to get some stuff this weekend to chill out with at my dorm. I’m new to actually like, drinking in general and was just looking for some basic pointers. My current plan is to get a 12 pack of those Coors Slushy drink thingies since those taste actually pretty good however, I know that it wont last me a while. Anyone have recommendations for some decent tasting stuff that would last me a decent amount of time?
