How dangerous is getting drunk on 10mgs of Rosuvastatin (Crestor)?

My doctor just put me on 10mgs of Rosuvastatin (Crestor) for high cholesterol at only 45. I’m in good shape otherwise and I’m not even overweight. I don’t drink super frequently, but when I do drink I get DRUNK. I keep hearing about the dangers of mixing statins with alcohol on some pages but on others you’ll here it’s not that bad or “ok in moderation” (doesn’t that word drive you guys nuts?!!) One doctor a year or so ago told me that it really WASN’T an issue to drink on statins and I actually said “you mean even GET DRUNK?” and he said “no, not really an issue” and shrugged his shoulders. But I’m not sure I can relax on this one. I feel I’m going to have to find out for myself, but I don’t want to hurt myself. I just don’t want to quit drinking either. I go on vacation in 3 weeks, and you better believe I’m going to get drunk a few times.

So, does anyone here drink and take a statin? If so, please mention the type of statin, dosage, and how much you normally drink on it or have drunk on it in the past and whether or not it led to side effects. Thanks
