Looking for new liquors & needing help!

Hi everyone! I’m looking for suggestions for decent liquors to try. I don’t drink often but have an extremely high tolerance to alcohol so I need something strong, well priced & not too sweet. Too sweet alcohol is the worst, it just doesn’t sit right with my nose & palette.

My go to has always been E&J vsop brandy b/c it’s cheap & isn’t too sweet, I find it goes down easier for me than many I’ve tried. A lot of people say it’s trash but with my unrefined palette I like it lol I don’t care much about complexity of flavor or anything, as long as it goes down easy.

I’m looking to try some other things tho, I’m not an experienced drinker so I don’t know what is good for my price point. Looking for 750ml for around 15$, give or take, & 1.75L for around 30$. I see plenty of liquor in that price range but idk which is best. Considering Evan Williams Black or Benchmark 8 so far.

I only drink shots so whatever is best for that purpose. Whatever goes down the smoothest for the price & gets me drunk lol I’ve tried things like Crown, Jack, SoCo & Beam but they just seem too sweet for my taste. Jameson & Maker’s mark are really good but the only liquor store around is always out & I would like to find something a bit cheaper anyways. If I could find a cheaper liquor that is not sweet like those that would be perfect. I know the quality won’t be as good but I’m just slamming shots anyways.

So, in short, what is the smoothest, easiest to shoot liquor in that price range that isn’t super sweet? Any help is appreciated!
