Do u think they’ll except my ID?

I’m a minor, I like to drink every few days out of the week with my friends and bf. It’s not a huge deal everybody’s done it. My dad’s in the military which means even as a minor in have an ID my ID does state I’m a minor both in the birth date and in very very fine print. But do people in gas stations and stuff even look at the words or just the photo on the ID? Can I get away with just flashing my ID at them? Or do you think I’ll get caught?
